Christine Smith - Chair
Christine Smith is a qualified Social Worker and has been employed in both the statutory and voluntary child care sectors within the UK. She is formerly Director of Social Work Services at St Francis Children’s Society, which is a registered adoption agency undertaking a range of work with children and vulnerable families.

Simba Maposa - Treasurer
Having started his working career in Zimbabwe, Simba is an accountant and has extensive experience within both the private and public sectors. He is currently a senior accountant within the Department for environment food and rural affairs (Defra) for a multi-funded rural development programme in England. He has also been actively involved in a project providing food aid to disadvantaged communities in Zimbabwe.

Anstance Chunda
Anstance hails from Nkhata Bay District, Kapelemende Village TA Mukubila, Malawi. She was educated in Zambia and the University Of East Anglia. She is a Social Worker in a team that works with children with disabilities and is one of the founding members of the Malawian Association Northamptonshire. She has a passion for community empowerment and capacity building. In 1998, funded by the German Embassy, she mobilized women in Nkhata Bay to build a Guardian Shelter at the Nkhata-Bay Hospital. Anstance is driven by her Christian faith and feels she has the responsibility ‘to look after orphans and widows in their distress’ James 1:27.

Suzy Guinan
Suzy previously served as the PR and Communications Director for Mercy Ships UK, where she led key initiaitves such as the charities launch at the Lord Mayor of London's Mansion House and work with corporates Virgin Atlantic, Searle and GlaxoSmithKline. She currently works with her husband in charity consultancy and raising three children. She has personal experience of fostering and adoption and her heart is to see every child in a family of their own.

Allan Guinan
As founding Executive Director of international healthcare charity Mercy Ships UK, Allan led the development of this now well established charity over its first six years of growth and formulated a $65m campaign to launch the world’s largest, state-of-the-art NGO hospital ship. He has previously served as Executive Director of an international AIDS foundation and as Senior Consultant at Action Planning. His current work includes charity consultancy, programme development in Africa, donor development and organisational design.
